Reputation for outstanding customer service
Eurotrucks Direct are an independently owned company that have been in business for 18 years. They are the largest imported of Hyundai fork lift trucks in the South of England and have built up an enviable reputation for not only their sales expertise but for their excellent aftercare with ongoing maintenance and support packages.
Servicing and repair on site
Brian Hamblin, the owner, knows the industry inside out and has seen an increase in customers year on year. There are some companies who have websites that present them as being much larger than they are and often customer don’t discover the reality until things go wrong. With forklift trucks, this is certainly the case, where a lot of companies sell trucks but don’t provide and servicing or support because they don’t have any facilities to do so, despite the impression their website might be giving.
This is most certainly not the case with Eurotrucks. They have, until last year, been based in Chichester and have always had the facilities to provide all the servicing and repair on site. As the business has kept expanding, they moved to much larger premises in Waterlooville last year.
They have been our clients for many years and this is the third website we have built them. Each one has stood the test of time in terms of their build quality but, as always is the case, design trends change and often a fresher new approach is needed. Once Eurotrucks had been established in their new home, they wanted a new website to reflect this.
How this web design Chichester company approached the project
We often work with photographers on projects and with this one, we worked with Steve Phyall of Zooming photography. Steve has worked with us before on other projects and has many years’ experience. Will Harvey, who has worked in Fleet St for many years, was engaged to rewrite the copy. Will is currently writing copy for many of our other clients and is able to turn round high quality, Google friendly copy quickly.
Eurotrucks branding is blue and green and our wonderful designer Polly has incorporated them into the design and typography. Simple techniques, such as the angled blue line under the slideshow give the website a contemporary feel. Below that, there is a carousel, scrolling trucks for sale on the right hand side with testimonials below. Near the footer there are more featured pages.
Why we design the way we do
People see websites differently. Some people (such as myself), coming from a technical background, always looks for the navigation, most people are guided by images or headlines. By presenting visitors with several different ways of getting further information quickly, Polly has created a website that will always make visitors feel comfortable and be able to find out what they need to know within a mouse click or two!
As with all our websites, it is fully responsive (mobile and tablet friendly) and fully accessible, meeting the needs of every visitor to the website. As with all our clients, we encourage them to add new content regularly to keep Google coming back!
